Generally you can skip the butter and milk if you're using kind of chocolate truffles, or low cocoa milk chocolate, the reason why I use is to prevent the chocolate wrap to be too thick and also to lower the cost :).
If you're using dark chocolate, then you need more butter and milk.

Melt chocolate+butter+cream in a container with warm water surrounded (50C degree)
dip the potato chips into the chocolate and quickly take them out
rest them softly on oilpaper
Chill in the fridge
Take out after 2 hours and enjoy! Don't eat them all up in 2 seconds like I DID if you don't expect to see them on your belly the next morning like I DID.
